Blog: Peter Lynch: One up on Wall Street
Peter Lynch was the top performing fund manager of the Fidelity Magellan Fund in the 1970s with Warren Buffett beating returns. He retired, rather abruptly, at the top of his game (maybe to avoid burnout or maybe to save his marriage….) and wrote a few books explaining his investment style and success. The first and the best known book (and my preferred one) is titled “One up on Wall Street”. Also worthwhile reading is “Beating the Street”. I tend to read a lot of books on trading and investing and always find if a book is still in print after a few decades since publishing it is most likely worthwhile reading. So I recently re-read “One up on Wall Street”, somehow found it on my bookshelf a bit dusty…. Below is a list of gems and one liners of Peter summarising with his sense of humour eternal investment truth. Enjoy!
